After obtaining my professional diplomas and business course, I started in my grandfather's painting company in 1980. Anton l'Ami founded the glass wallpaper and painting company A. l'Ami in the middle of the crisis in 1935. The first work was done with a wooden cargo bike. After several workshops on Berkhei, van Starrenburglaan and a painting shop on van Zuylen van Nijeveltstraat, we moved into a new-build business premises on Maaldrift II in 2000.
After working for 27 years as director of glass wallpaper and painting company A. l'Ami, I have decided to end this position. From October 1, 2016, I started a new company under the name: Schildersbedrijf Marcel l'Ami. Based on the personal customer experiences of the past 27 years on the one hand and the changing customer demand for a more and more complete range of services on the other. 'Unburdening' is becoming increasingly central. I am pleased to announce that with the establishment of the painting company we have expanded our services with a so-called 'care option'.
This option means that we can carry out all common activities related to moving and/or storing furniture to making your home clean again as part of our maintenance activities. Considerations surrounding customer focus, quality of service and craftsmanship in combination with innovation and continuity have significantly contributed to this decision to make a new business start after 27 years with a changed composition.
