We are an all-round electrical installation agency and provide advice in the field of electrical installations and then install them. With our company we focus on sustainability. We provide advice on how you can save energy and install energy-saving installations. We also install solar panels and wind turbines that generate energy. You can also contact us for alarm systems, emergency lighting, home automation via home automation, charging stations and energy-efficient lighting for your home or office. With almost 100 years of experience, we can advise you well.
Region
We are located in Schiedam and serve the whole of South Holland from there. We work a lot in the coastal area with the towns of Oostvoorne, Rockanje and Brielle for home automation, alarm systems and charging stations.
History of Geveke Electrotechnology
It all started in 1927. At that time, electrical equipment was sold from the store under the motto “for everything with a plug”.
In 1939 Geveke moved to the Broersvest, where we specialized in lighting. In 1978 the adjacent building was added. With this purchase, Geveke Verlichting acquired a retail area of 240 m². For that time, that was an enormous area. In 1970, the company was split into a lighting shop and an electrical installation agency.
The lighting store developed in the 1970s as a real specialty store. After the turn of the century, things became increasingly difficult in the lighting industry. Due to the blurring of the industry and the rise of the Chinese market, it was decided to close the lighting specialty store. The store closed in November 2005 and we focused on the electrical installation agency.
On January 1, 2008, the company was taken over by the fourth generation and the company continued under the name Geveke Elektrotechniek.
