Otters Installation Technology has been a household name in Wehl and the surrounding area for years. In 1918, grandfather Jan Otters started a forge as a farrier. He also had oil and coal stoves, after which his successor Jan Otters, in the sixties after the discovery of the gas bubble in Slochteren, started to specialize in gas stoves and central heating.
During this period the forge was converted into a tool and hardware store. The third generation, also Jan Otters, continued the installation company and expanded the store with a hardware store.
After running the hardware store with great pleasure for 27 years, the Otters family decided to stop running the hardware store in September 2015 and focus entirely on the installation company.
