The company was founded in 1945 by Mr A.J.Proper, at the time a shop for radio, TV and other electrical appliances. Most homes in the region were gas-fired. Gradually, central heating and electric lighting were introduced and the demand for electrical engineering increased. Bart Kramer started working as an electrician in 1986.
In October 2000, Bart Kramer was able to take over the business. The company was first continued under the old name Proper. Then it became Proper-Kramer and finally Kramer Elektrotechniek. Bart Kramer obviously already knew many customers, which made the transition smooth.
