Harm Hiemstra started his painting career at the age of sixteen. He obtained all his painting and related diplomas from 1971 to 1978. At the age of 32, he said goodbye to his last employer Sietsma – then located on the Noordkade in Drachten – and founded Schildersbedrijf Hiemstra. In the years since 1988, Schildersbedrijf Hiemstra has built up a large (regular) customer base in and around Drachten. Our customer base consists of both private and business clients. In addition, Harm Hiemstra was a practical painting teacher at the practical schools 'De Ark' and 'De Venen' in Drachten from 2000 to 2012.
