Why a contractor company and not a handyman company? The difference between the two companies is that a contractor company is allowed to carry out construction work and a handyman company is not. To make the difference clear, I will give two examples. Suppose you want a Velux skylight in your roof to get more light into the attic. But there is a purlin (= roof beam) in the way that needs to be sawn through. Then you already have to deal with the construction of your house, which is not allowed to be realized by a handyman company, but can be done by a contractor company. You want a bay window in your kitchen. Now the bay window is already a construction in itself, plus the breakthrough to the kitchen/bay window is added. A handyman company is also not authorized to realize this, while a contractor company is.
