Entrepreneurial heart Geert Bouwmeester was only 22 when he started his own business in 1924. A landing was converted into office space and the first policies were delivered by bicycle.

VLC & Partners is located in Den Bosch and The Hague and also has a subsidiary in Apeldoorn: ENgage Werkgeversadvies B.V. The Dutch operating companies – with the exception of De Zeeuwse Verzekeringen, VLC & Partners and ENgage Werkgeversadvies – operate under the label 'De Goudse'.
