C. Deun en Zn was founded in 1981 by C. Deun Sr. He started in a shed behind the house in Westwoud, but after a number of years the company had outgrown the shed. In 1988, a building was purchased on Dorpsstraat in Zwaag, where the company is still located.
After reaching the age of 65, C. Deun Sr. started to phase out its activities in 2000. The company passed into the hands of the next generation. Son Cor and his wife Anja are still in charge of the company and son Colin may follow in their footsteps again.
The building consists of a shop/small showroom, warehouse and a workshop with an upstairs apartment. The younger Deun generation also lives at work, which means that customers can also find the company after closing time in case of emergencies.
