Every garden can be transformed into a nature-friendly garden, whether it is newly constructed or has existed for years. It is important to take the environment of your garden into account. A garden that is built in on all sides by high-rise buildings and therefore receives little sun will simply be easier to convert into a bird garden than into a bee and butterfly garden. This is because the flowers that bees and butterflies need grow better in a sunny environment than in the shade. A garden for aquatic life will also be easier to create if your garden borders the water. This doesn't mean it can't be done at all, there are still flowers that grow in the shade and a nice pond can go a long way. However, it does take more effort.
