During my career I have worked at various financial institutions and have been a financial advisor for almost 30 years. A fascinating profession where you deal with many different people and situations that require a solution. For example, can I borrow money to buy a house? These are intensive processes where you get to know each other well. I am always genuinely interested in what moves people and what their wishes and plans are. I am happy to contribute to making wishes come true. If customers can buy their dream home, that gives energy!
The financial sector changed over the years and became less personal. Lots of administration and little customer contact. I noticed that I wanted to go in a completely different direction. More personal contact, really being there for your customer from A to Z, independence and taking control into your own hands. That made me decide to become an entrepreneur.
The emotion and excitement that buying and financing a house entails has always fascinated me, especially for entrepreneurs. It is extra "stressful" for this group, as I have learned in my career. Since I have become an entrepreneur myself, I understand well what entrepreneurship means. An entrepreneur is always busy with his business and above all does not want any hassle. Buying a house and taking out a mortgage is just that. Unfortunately. But not for me!
The situations are often complex and that is the biggest challenge for me. If I believe in a good outcome then I go for it. Provide a suitable, creative solution at that moment and be appreciated for it.
That is my passion.
