The air conditioning gave off a stale smell and did not cool sufficiently in the summer. First the standard filters were cleaned. This had no effect. After studying the Internet and watching YouTube videos it became clear: there is more to clean than just the standard filters!
The inside of the system turned out to be full of dust that had become moldy. After a thorough cleaning of the inside, the air conditioning worked again as usual.
