Hello! My name is John Laridon, Belgian garden designer born in Ostend in 1974.
When I was 15, I decided that I wanted to become a landscape architect, because crafting, drawing and dealing with plants had always been in my blood.
I first heard about this field at the Agriculture and Horticulture School in Torhout. I was immediately blown away by the opportunity to continue studying to become a landscape architect. Proud as I was, I came home from school that evening and told my parents that I knew what I wanted to be.
My choice of school to follow that course was also quite easy: the Erasmushogeschool Brussels, at that time it was still Vilvoorde. Here I completed the HBO course in Landscape and Garden Architecture in June 1995. I did my internship at a landscape architecture firm in Apeldoorn, which is how I ended up in the Netherlands.
In March 1997 I moved to Friesland, where I was given the opportunity to work as a garden designer at a landscaping company in Ryptsjerk. After two years full of experiences, I started a company with two gardeners. First from Ferwert, where I also lived for 5 years, and then from a beautiful office in Veenwouden opposite the Schierstins.
On January 1, 2007, I made the decision and took the big step, I went completely on my own and Gardens with Feeling was born.
