Founder Willem Wolken
The founder of our family business Bouwbedrijf Gebr. Wolken is our father, Willem Wolken. Father Wolken started working from home in 1965 with construction assignments, often through word of mouth. Due to father's extensive professional knowledge at that time, more and larger construction orders soon arose. Stair constructions, window frames and floor constructions
What started in a simple shed at home quickly led to investing in a spacious workshop on the Eemslandweg in Zwartemeer. From there he manufactured the most beautiful stair constructions and window frames. Floor construction and masonry work also increased. This lasted until 1998 before father thought it was time to slow down.
